Ladyboys--Ladies? Though they are neither female nor male in conventional concept, ladyboys can be categorized as female in China, because of their feminine appearances, effeminate mannerism, and stereotypically female-oriented occupations. What’s more, they dress like normal women, too. Sarawee Nattee, has won the title of 'most beautiful' at the final of Miss Tiffany Universe 2009, a ladyboy beauty contest, held in Pattaya, Thailand. “Resplendent in a figure-hugging grey and black dress, Sorrawee Nattee wept tears of joy after being crowned Thailand's most beautiful transsexual at a unique pageant. She appeared overwhelmed by hordes of photographers, camera crews and well-wishers”. Chinese media described Sarawee Nattee as “she”, who dressed like women, won beauty contest, so the gender identification is quite self-evident.
