Being a part of drill team has helped me with control by helping others in learning routines or chants with taking charge when others do not. I learned that although I am young, I am in control of my own progress, and I am the one who can change situations for better or for worse. The biggest impact my drill team experience has given me, is determination to push myself to achieve. Without the heart or skill to do something there is no progression. This experience describes the dedication I have to go to college because it showed me I am capable of handling the challenges it may offer.

When I was young I was in a sports group that played some different type of sport year round. Being a part of that group taught me how to work well as a team player even when I didn’t agree with everyone on the team. It also kept me in great shape and out of trouble that I could have possibly gotten into if my time wasn’t occupied. My ability to work on a team and as an individual was groomed from this group. For my career zone analysis, I chose social first (working with people to inform, train, help, enlighten, or cure them), then investigative (jobs with people who like to learn, observe, investigate, analyze, evaluate, or solve problems), and lastly realistic (jobs requiring athletic or mechanical ability, working with objects, plants, animals, machines, tools, or being outdoors). The investigative option appealed to me because I think that it is really interesting to be given a problem and then to

I am also able to do multiple assignments in a short amount of time so that I can finish them on time, hand them in and receive a good grade on the assignment. The way COMM 150 has affected the way I think about academic integrity and giving the proper credit to the ideas of others is that those people are helping me by publishing their work, so they deserve the credit for doing the hard labor that I did not have to do. What I mean by that is if I put in the time and hard work to put together something and someone else used my work and did not acknowledge me as being a help source I would get frustrated and upset. So I have no problem giving credit to where credit is due.
