With this as a common issue, police departments across the United States have decided to fight against that statistic. Many times, when a police officer is accused of police brutality, they are immediately put on suspension. Within the terms of their suspension, either an outside agency or internal affairs department does an investigation determining what may have happened. This would typically include interviewing potential witnesses, determining what happened, and putting the pieces together.
Violent Crimes and Theories Violent crimes are a major concern for United States citizens. Although there has been a decrease in violent crime, it is still a huge problem nationwide that needs to be under more control. What causes a person to become criminal is a question that many theorists would love to fully understand. In the past, criminologists believed that people were simply born criminals. Today, there are several theories on why people commit crimes.
Stereotyping happens every day. People in the community started to watch the police when they would conduct routine stops and searches. They began to claim racism and claim that police officers were discriminating. Police must prove of their reason to justify a stop and arrest. If the only reason to pull someone over depends on his or her race, this causes a discriminatory impact.

Often times there is wrong information or details about the crime. The media glorifies the killer by giving so much public attention to it and talking about details that were involved in the killings. The information given by media can hinder the investigation. The killer thrives on the attention from their crimes.
An integral component to the infrastructure of government is law enforcement. In recent years, police actions, particularly police abuse has come into view of a wide, public and critical eye. While citizens worry about protecting themselves from criminals, it has now been shown that they must also keep a watchful eye on those who are supposed to protect and serve. This paper will discuss the types of police abuse prevalent today, including the use of firearms and recovery of private information. I will also discuss what and how citizens’ rights are taken advantage of by the police.

It is important that violence and gun crime are talked about in films and that young people are made to see the real side of it, because people are getting killed often in events where youths are carrying guns, this often appears on the news. Statistics show that gun crime has been on the rise in recent years especially in inner city areas like the one shown in the film. The two main characters of the film are Ricky and Wisdom who can not break out the never ending circle of gun crime but both for different reasons. Juvenile crimes are one of the most common problems that have negative consequences on any community. Juvenile crimes refer to the crimes that are perpetrated by individuals who are under the adult age. Statistical analysis indicated that this number grows daily. This has triggered the government to seek intervention measures to help reduce the increasing trend and hence safeguard the society against future offending. This because such children who have records of crime develop to become uncontrollable gangs in the society.

More needs to be done to eliminate gangs, because they increase the drug flow, the crime rate, and intimidate citizens of their communities. Not all gangs are dangerous, but the ones that are, need to be contained because of their cruel behavior and their harsh crimes. Gangs become more powerful through these factors. Eliminating or controlling the drugs being distributed by gangs then their power will diminish.
