Romance has four traits that can be found in the novel “Le Morte D’Arthur” and in the movie King Arthur. They share the same elements of love and honor, and the quests that lead up to king’s epic battle. The movie shows more of the historical side of Arthur, their struggle. Most of the stories involving King Arthur are primarily fiction; however, there remains the possibility that a character called Arthur may have actually exists. Arthur is the greatest of British literary heroes although little is known about the real person.
Guinevere is the most perdurable female figure in King Arthur and his knights. Without her the suspense and the plot flow could not have been achieved. On the end of the movie “King Arthur”, Guinevere is becoming a queen by marring an Arthur. We also know that she was in love with Lancelot and at the same time with Arthur. Movie shows, that Guinevere was a normal slave and that he rescued her from the evil Meleagant. She was King Leodegrance’s daughter, and she brought together one hundred knights, to fight the enemy.
Guinevere has been portrayed as everything from a weak and opportunistic traitor to a fatally flawed but noble and virtuous gentlewoman. In some tails she is praised for her intelligence, friendliness and gentility, while in others she is a vindictive adulteress and disliked by the brave knights. We know from the book that the Guinevere was rescued from the evil Meleagant by the Lancelot, but in the movie that was Arthur who rescued her. We also know that Mordred made himself a king of England and incestuously claimed Guinevere as his wife. According to Geoffreg of Monmouth, Guinevere is descended from a noble family of Romans and is the leveliest woman in the entire island”. She had many admirers in her life and one of them was Lancelot. In later romances we know that she is the daughter of Leodegrance, previous owner of the Round Table.
