Andrew R. Weaver ENC1101 Flores 09/22/2013 The Wonder and Beauty of Peggy’s Chair Peggy’s Chair is a sculpture made by Dino Kotopoulis. Peggy’s Chair is from Dino’s Ego collection was finished in 1993. This piece is of Dino’s wife and is made out of carved pickled poplar with cedar lining. In the eyes of the beholder it seems as if Dino is trying to catch the beauty of his wife. In order to exemplify his talents to the best of his ability, Dino used graceful flowing relief lines and majestic contours meticulously carved into the thin wood used to make the chair.

He says this because he know that Madame Defarge is going to come after her and kill her and her children. He also tell her that he would sacrifice himself for her, and he was hoping to go talk to her that night and to know that she is the only person that cares was sad for him to know. It was sad because they have a “mother to son” bond not a “wife to husband” bond. She loved him unconditionally like a mother would do to a child.

Since during the novella Curley’s wife is constantly bullied and segregated which drives her to having to flirt with the men since it is the only way she can get anyone to talk to her so she deserves to live a life free from loneliness and sorrow and to live her dream. George in one way gets what he deserves since that he is freed from constantly having to watch out for and look after Lennie so he can live his life how he wants with no distractions. However, he does lose his best friend and only companion which is grave since now he has no one to share his lifelong dream with.
