As we all know to be a successful manger you need to have a certain set of skills. The ability to see and fix a problem before it comes to light. In the case Jumpin’ Jack Flash “Jack” shows many managerial skills in all of his positions. One of the management skills that Jack showed while being a marketing manger at the travel products company was his conceptual skill. Conceptual skill is the ability to visualize the organization as a whole. It includes Analytical, Creative and Initiative skills. Jack showed a great deal of creativity when bring to life his pet project a super-lightweight compact folding chair. Jack’s chair did so exceptional he had all the reason to ask for a promotion to vice president of marketing. With all this being said a little after Jack got a new position as vice president at a consumer products firm. While being VP jack and his ability to spot promising items in the company’s new-product pipeline brought him to the attention of upper management once again showing his great management skills. This time around Jack showed a great deal of decision-making skills that are required at all levels of management. However, it is required more at the top-level of management. A manager must be able to make quick and correct decisions. He must also be able to implement his decision wisely, and Jack had done it all. When it comes to determining whether or not Jack should have taken the special assignment offered to him by the consumer products firm, personal I feel Jack made the right choice. Jake had more the proven him self to the organization but the fact that they wanted him to go on this special assignment felt to me like they still did not fully trust or believe in what Jack had to offer. The President of overseas operations saw many skills in Jack to even consider him as the right guy for the job. But the ones that truly made Jack
