“Stripping Away Free Expression” The article “Stripping Away Free Expression” by Shawn Macomber creates a story about a young lady called Stephanie Babine’s who loves to strip. She enjoys stripping as part of exercise because it shapes up her body by keeping her physically fit, and equally she wanted other women to learn from her. Her Life style was not appreciated with the state laws but she stated “It’s not attention I went looking for.” That shows that she doesn’t care about what people think of her not just doing it for pleasure but for her own interest as she kept receiving calls from publishing companies; like New York Times. That inspired her more. The author pointed out that “Babine was a 31-year-old entrepreneur,” and it is obvious that she chose stripping to be more part of her daily activities than working as an executive at a financial service company. The description of Babine’s personality revealed that she is the kind of person that loves living life in a sociable way and gains from it as she engages herself in pole dancing’s doyen, Fawnia Mondey, and also featuring in movies as white slave lovers and forbidden Rage: White Slave Secrets. Furthermore, Babine took a huge step to establish her own section of the pole dancing by renting a place to bring her pole dancing and some other practical body exercise like Power Lap Dance, yoga, belly dancing, and hip hop aerobics into existence for adult women who are simply interested. I was confused while the Code Enforcement Officer turned down her dreams by rejecting her right of occupancy or may be because “she was into a low class business,” I thought. This unappealing action by the Code Enforcement Officer in charge of the occupancy of the studio weakened Babine’s heart as she took the case to court. She sold out her house to enable her have some revenue to fight the case
