The definition of ‘tyrant’ is a powerful, selfish, and unsympathetic person who stay strictly and stubbornly to his ideas and believes and forces others to do so using force, threat and violence. Joseph Strorm is more of a tyrant than Sealand woman because not only he forces people to follow his dogmatic and bigoted idea of the True Image, he also punished those who oppose him, whereas the Sealand woman did not force anyone to follow her ideas and believes. Tyrant is a person who forces people to use force, threat and violence to make people obey him. Joseph Strorm will punish anyone who oppose his dogmatic and bigoted idea of the True Image, whereas Sealand woman will not. In Chapter 3, David was injured and he could not try a bandage by himself, so his mother helped him to tie the bandage. After that, David said “I could have managed it all right by myself if I'd had another hand.” and Joseph Strorm was angered and punished David, just because David said something that opposes his own belief and ideals. Sealand Woman despises('She [Sealand Woman] says that everybody there wants to make them, and people who can't do it much work hard to get better at it.') the people with weak or no telepathic powers, and she thinks only the strong ones shall survive. Despite so, she still rescued David and Rosalind from the Fringes, even though they are weaker in terms of telepathic capabilities compared to Petra. The above examples shows that Joseph Strorm is more of a tyrant than Sealand Woman as Joseph Strorm force others to follow his ideals whereas the Sealand Woman do not. A tyrant is a powerful person who is unsympathetic. Joseph Strorm is unsympathetic whereas the Sealand Woman is less sympathetic.
