|The Benefits of Smoking                                                                     |                                   |
|                                                                                           |                                   |
|1. Smoking has had a bit of a bad press lately. In fact, to be precise, it has had no press|                                   |
|at all since the advertising of cigarettes in magazines was banned. There’s little doubt,   |                                   |
|though, what the official line on smoking is: you can’t walk into a newsagent without       |                                   |

|YOUR WOBBLY BITS FALL OFF or some such nonsense. Where will it all end?                     |                                   |
|                                                                                           |                                   |
|2. This is, in fact, an example of a minority, insubstantiated opinion becoming accepted as|                                   |
|fact. There are groups of people out there whose mission in life is to stop others enjoying|                                   |
|themselves, and they will stop at nothing to achieve this end. Smoking is their greatest   |                                   |
|success, and now they’re working on drink, sex, foxhunting, watching old Emanuelle films-   |                                   |
|all the things that make life worthwhile. Well,...
