Reading a story from a book lets your imagination wonder off beyond the sky’s limit. You make the faces of the characters in your mind, you sketch the streets the characters of the story walk on, and the reader makes everything realistic in their mind. Every person reading the same story will mostly likely have a different picture of it in their head. It’s the game of the mind, you set it as you please. Opposite of a book is a movie. In today’s times a lot of movies are based on a written literature. Many students watch the movie instead of reading the book maybe because it’s more enjoyable but for some they take it as an easy way out. It’s obvious that it’s easier to watch the movie then reading the book but the movie lacks the details that are present in the book. I think if a director of a movie is basing a movie on the book they should add a lot of the little details that lead up to the climax of the story that were present in the book. Although I understand that cannot happen because a movie has a certain time limit but a book can go on forever. I myself am not a movie person, I haven’t seen many movies at all, but for the first time I read a book and watch the movie based on that book. “Joe Gould’s Secret” is a story written by Joseph Mitchell, and a movie based on this book is also called “Joe Gould’s Secret” directed by Stanley Tucci. This was the first time I watched a movie based on a book
