Becoming A Cosmetologist When I become older I want to be a cosmetologist. I want to become a cosmetologist because, I like to do hair, make up, and nails.Stressful parents sometimes need to have a break, when parents get their nails done it relieves stress. You can build a persons confident by doing their hair, and makeup. When I have nothing better to do, I practice doing my hair, makeup, and nails. In order to become a cosmetologist I must meet several qualifications.
It is very important to communicate in my work place as there is 6 girls in one office doing the same job and we need to know that we are all doing it the same way and the right way. We also work closely with Social Workers and Occupational Therapists so we must communicate clearly with them at all times in order to maintain our working relationship. If we don’t communicate properly at all times we might end up doing things differently which in time would cause lots of confusion. We also speak to TCES, the company that we order the equipment from on a daily basis, if we did not communicate with them then the equipment could be wrong or might not be delivered at all. 1.2 Communication in the workplace is vital.

Once I become more comfortable with the office’s policies and procedures l began performing task independently. I was observed by experienced staff member as I began performing required duties ,the staff provided constructive criticism and tips for performing certain task and techniques. In the office, I obtain numbers by storing them in a call log when I first ask for their details whilst on the phone. Once I am off the phone, I type these details into a contact list that I store on my computer. To make contact with people inside of the organisation I dial their extension number on the telephone. When I am making a local call, all I need to do is dial the telephone number, but when I am making an international call I have to dial an international or area code number plus the telephone number in order to make the call.
