“With Out Crime May be There Would be No Poor” Reading about “It is crime to be poor”, has made me think about all the crimes that can be categorized as not a crime. I feel that by reading this article I do understand the point on which the authority does think of poor as a sense of criminals. In my opinion I do think that no one should have a label put on them. As the article said, “just because you are dark-skinned and poor”, does not mean that they are a threat to this society. Specially, since they might live in the poor part of the city or they do not have a job. In today society we do tend to label without knowing a person or their background, as well as where they might be coming from. As I read through the paragraphs on the article It affected the way I did think about a couple of people before. Personally, I used to judge blacks and Mexicans as the “ghetto” people because in most cases they are some type of criminals in some way. But after I read the article I thought about how it is not fair to judge those who are in real need of help, because a real crisis and not because they are bad people. For example: those who lose everything, like their homes cars and so on. We honestly never know why now they are homeless and in shelters. Maybe they lost all that because they had other stuff to pay like medical expenses and then they had to sell all that they once had. For those who are truly poor it is sad, that they cannot have a normal life with a real bed to sleep in. But honestly I do not feel sad for those people that say have actually committed a crime like rape and then they got a second chance to get out into the world and cannot have a normal life again. No person deserves the chance to get out and act like nothing. But for those homeless people who say had a problem with alcohol and got disowned and are homeless now they do not deserve to be treated
