Islam Paper Since 9/11/2001 we as Christians, and as Americans, have come to realize the impact of Islam on a personal level. Although, 9/11 was perpetrated by radical Muslims carrying out a Jihad (holy war) against the America, we as Christians must not judge all Muslims based on what transpired that day back in September 2001. Jesus said in Luke 6:37, “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.” As Jesus proclaimed, we as Christians must find a way to forgive thy enemy, even if they are of Islamic faith.

Critical Thinking Assignment Islam The founder of Islam is the prophet Muhammad, who was born in Mecca in approximately 570 C.E. Islam, means "surrender" or "submission," was founded on the wisdom of the Prophet Muhammad as an illustration of surrender to the will of Allah, the creator of the world. Islam is a monotheistic religious custom that developed in the Middle East in the 7th century around 622 CE. The Quran is the sacred scripture of Islam and is understood to be the untouched word of God. The Quran in S. 7:54, 10:3, 11:7, and 25:59 clearly teaches that God created "the heavens and the earth" in six days.

D. McClatchy’s “Jihad” is a poem showing different facets of the Islamic religion in relation to what the Koran calls Jihad. The poem clearly references the Muslim faith, yet the same principle could apply to other religions or traditions. The poem seems to show the violence and bloodshed which the passages over the Jihad in the Koran are calling for. The relationship this religion seems to call for is one of great sacrifice. Salman Rushdie’s “Imagine There’s No Heaven” is a letter to the six billionth person to be born on the planet, asking for it to consider its religious options.
As we know today, there is a historical resemblance in the spread of Christianity to the spread if Islam as they affected places and the people they have conquered within the time of 600 BCE to 732 CE in the areas specifically in the middle east, Europe, some parts of Asia and in some parts of Africa, particularly Egypt. Compared to Islam, Christianity was more aggressive in their conquers within the era. This is because of several methods Christians used such as taxation, and conquests. As well as similarities in the use of missionaries, and other passive methods: including trade and the adaptability to the religion itself. The main disagreement being that Christians believe that all men are created equal and Muslims believe that they are the chosen ones and all others are considered infidels. The First Crusades were a result of this. Palestine and Syria were dominated by Christians due to a counter attack after Muslims began trying to spread the Muslim Religion.
