Parents use discipline to teach their children the difference between right and wrong. The type of discipline parents use is entirely up to them but, "ninety percent of parents say that they have used [spanking] as a mean of discipline on their child, and most parents say that it was used on them when they were youngsters" (James). Spanking is a form of discipline that has been used by many parents; but it is now becoming the method that is being frowned upon by most doctors and many parents. "The American Academy of Pediatricians say that spanking might actually do more harm than good"(Eisenhauer), meaning that the spanking will not correct the problems that the child has, but only make them worse. In some countries around the globe, such as Norway and Sweden, elected officials have made it totally illegal for parents to spank their child.
Eventually after a few spankings here and there the child will learn from right and wrong very quickly. Depending on the degree of the spanking the child is receiving, parents should have the option of spanking their children. As ridiculous as it may sound, adults are not able to reason with many children now and days and some times and the only way for the child to actually listen to their parents is by the physical force that is needed or could be used in the situation so with that being said, yes parents should be able to spank their kids. Hebrews 11:12 for the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Discipline is an activity that takes place in the moment but always for the sake of later.
A “spanking” is not the only form of punishment I use, but I feel it is appropriate in times of clear defiance. That does not mean I intend to inflict a large amount of pain on my children nor do I use that form of punishment

In today’s research it has come to be believed that physical punishment, even its smallest forms, can have harmful and negative effects. Today spanking is becoming more a thing of the past and time-outs or other e, such as reasoning with a child, are becoming the major parenting practice. In the past many individuals believed that you could not reason with children because they lacked the mental capacity. Physical punishment was the only way to get your point across.

Spanking and Aggression in Young Children Can spanking really lead to aggressive behavior in young children? In my opinion, it can and usually does. Have you ever gotten a spanking from a parent or adult, but then were told “hitting and slapping are not okay,” by that same adult? You probably felt confused or angry and asked them, “why is it ok for you to slap me, but it’s not okay for me to slap you?” This is one of a few reasons why I do not believe spanking is an effective form of punishment and can lead to aggressive behavior in children. It can cause confusion, which can then lead to stress, which can then result in aggressive behavior from the child.
To then come back and remove the children would be such as another charges to the criminal, and seems unconstitutional, unlawful, and wrong. One could declare that placing these children in crowded circumstances that would happen from the performance of this strategy would do more damage than excellent. Not all juveniles placed in enhance excellent proper care are there due to bad parenting. Some of these children end up there because the mother and father can no longer control their activities, or in between doing stints in teenager area. All mother and father or parents who lose their children would not have the same degree of violation, which runs the risk of children from better surroundings being taught through the same Public Concept adverse activities and assault from other children.

Although this act may seem harmless in some perspectives, it could be interpreted as abuse and an unloving act out of anger. Even though a parent’s child is their responsibility and their business, I do not agree with them having the right to spank their children. It has been proved that spanking children at age 3 makes them more likely to become bullies by age 5(Taylor, par.2). Children may see this act as hatred, uncaring, and can cause a bit of confusion.
Children can also get mental problems because of spanking such as killing themselves. Children start to think about why they were born and asking themselves if they should live in a world where they just get spanked all the time. Therefore, parents who spank their children should change their minds about spanking their children. Spanking children is not a good way to discipline them because children will have bad relationships with parents and other people. For example, children who are usually spanked by their parents have problems with them because of spanking, so children will become more aggressive with other people who are around them.
