Residents of Andalucia are intimately related to flamenco, and most flamenco performers have at least one classic Sevillana in their repertoire. The style originated as a Medieval Castilian folk dance, called the ‘Seguidilla’, which was slowly "flamenconized" during the 18th and 19th centuries. The songs of flamenco are from different regions in Spain as: Fandangos from Huelva and Alegrias from Cadiz. There are two main styles in Flamenco, "jondo", this has a serious and deep meaning. The second style is "chico", a happy, light and often humorous style.
This particular piece of the song is what most of the audience would recognize and think about this unique song from Enrique Iglesias. The tempo of the song is moderato and the dynamic for the majority of the song is mezzo forte, but there are a few parts that have the dynamics of mezzo piano. At the end of the song there are high notes that he has to sing. The second song from the album “Escape“ is “Hero”. This song also begins with the simple beat of a guitar, and is later followed by the piano along with violins.

That word “hillbilly” just makes so much sense for me and I can totally relate to that terminology. That relating is exactly what made that music such an integral part of those early immigrants lives and for that matter, for my family as well. What is fascinating however, is exactly how that relating is relayed musically. There’s a lot about blue grass that is very appealing. The guitar has become one of the most prominent components of contemporary music. People have been playing instruments very similar to the guitar for hundreds of years. Michael Kasha’s book A New Look at the History of the Classic Guitar shows that there has even been a discovery of a certain Hittite carving from over 3,000 years ago that shows an instrument that seems to share many features of a modern guitar (Kasha 12). The guitar is a member of the chordophone family, meaning that it is an instrument that creates sound through vibrating strings that are stretched between two points. About sixty years ago, the guitar underwent a modification that would forever change the rest of the musical world- it was electrified.

The violin Amati had perfected, immediately became popular among both street musicians and nobility. Because of it's popularity, the French King Charles IX ordered Amati to create 24 violins in 1560. One of the 24 violins that the king had made for himself is now called Charles IX and is the oldest violin in the world.
