I am a newly appointed first line manager in a learning resources centre in a college.
My plan is to create a Personal Development Plan (PDP) for the first three months of my newly appointed post. The information I need to create the plan will come from my list of strengths and weaknesses. Once I have these listed out is should be easier for me to gain a better understanding of where I need to fill in any gaps in my knowledge and build upon my skill set.
Strengths: planning & organisation, time management, influencing skills, negotiation, ability to prioritise.
Weaknesses: communication skills, clarity of thought, listening skills, management skills.
Now that I have determined my strengths and weaknesses I can create my PDP.
