Everybody has different values. So with that in mind, conflict will occur when individuals or nations have a lack of acceptance and understanding of these different values. Conflicts with differing interests occur when individuals or nations combat for their personal or nation goals as a whole, often ignoring the organizational goals and well-being, or other nation’s goals and well-being. Scarce resources can cause a lot of conflict. Especially between two countries.
When confronted with conflict, people have response with courage or cowardice When confronted with conflict, it is often faced with difficult, or even threatening, situations. Often when humanity finds itself in conflict, coping with the struggle of interpersonal, cultural and racial, inner or moral conflict can bring either courage or cowardice out in people. This is made evident in Bruce Beresford’s “Paradise Road,” but also in real life situations. It is naturally human to experience conflict, we will all be forced to respond to conflict at various times and various forms throughout the course of our lives, and in order to live serenely we attempt to avoid and resolve conflict. Those who experience moral conflict are truly tested and the core of their characters brought into sharp focus as they make sense of their experiences and wether the will response with courage or cowardice.
When the ego comes out tempers will flare and we will want to do whatever we can to protect our point of view. When we come into a group with someone that has a preexisting aggression towards one another that is the most difficult thing to overcome. It has been recognized that aggressive acts can occur for a variety of reasons, and a distinction has been made between affective aggression that is associated with negative emotion and instrumental aggression that is not (Neuman & Baron, 1997). Affective, or “hot,” aggression has as its primary goal the injury of a target, whether physical or psychological, at times impulsively and immediately during the experience of negative emotion in response to provocation. With instrumental, or “cold,” aggression, harm of another may be a means to desired ends. In work organizations, instrumental aggression may be the chosen path toward status, power, perks, assignments, bonuses, promotions, and reputation, that is, “getting ahead” (Neuman & Baron, 2005). Solitude vivifies; isolation kills. Through out life in this crazy mind ridden world, people find themselves isolated. Isolation rears its ugly head in various forms and can often be unexpected. Whether it be personal gain unachieved, or conflicts of love or hate, people deal with this sort of abandonment. Self created or felt from another persons doing, this separation of ones being must be dealt with.
The main problem that will be focused on at first is Bradley’s sexual inappropriate behavior. This is due to it being the most concerning problem, and it will provide a good therapeutic base to work off of. It is important to first address the disturbed feelings Bradley has and how those feelings are evident through his behaviors and thoughts. To address his sexual inappropriateness, Bradley will need to be taught about victim empathy. To be able to work on understanding his sexual inappropriateness, Bradley will first need to recognize how it affects others and be able to view his behaviors from the victim’s point of view.
Borderline Personality Disorder Borderline personality disorder is a disorder that affects mental health and causes major emotional instability. It can lead to other mental as well as behavioral problems. A person with borderline personality disorder usually has a very distorted self-image and often feels worthless. He/she often experiences frequent mood swings, anger, and impulsiveness, which may push people away, even if he wants to have meaningful relationships. Don’t despair if you have this type of personality disorder.

Each person becomes frustrated because he or she realized that he or she has to give up something that he or she likes or cannot obtain something that he or she desires. Functional conflict, task conflict, relationship conflict, and process conflict are part of the Interactionist view of conflict. Task conflict can create from unsigned task to a group of people or individually in a team. Relationship conflict creates between people due to lack of mutual understanding and gap of interpersonal communication.
