Why KFC chicken is the best chicken compared to Popeye’s Chicken or Church’s Chicken, although that statement can be questionable depending on who you ask. KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) is a worldwide fast food chain that is well known for its fried chicken, and it is publicly traded company. For nearly 60 years, KFC continues to be in business and has over 17,000 outlets in 105 countries (kfc.com). At the early age of six, Harland Sanders learned to cook for his younger brother and sister because his mother had to work two jobs. His step-father did not care for Harland and at the age of twelve he left home to work at a farm. By the time Harland was 15, he had a variety of jobs that also included justice of peace. Harland liked to cook and started his own roadside restaurant in Corbin, Kentucky. Eventually, Harland was named an honorary Kentucky Colonel by the state’s governor and this is how he became known as the Colonel. Colonel Harland Sanders began his own franchise in Utah in 1952 and sold his chicken from his roadside restaurant.” Although Colonel Sanders died in 1980, “his image remains an important part of the company's branding and advertisements, where he is often known simply as "The Colonel" (kfc.com).
