She states that she doesn’t necessarily like working but she likes the fact that she works and can support herself and her children if needed. Weaknesses: T. Smith’s states that her insecure about her appearance, and that she is too kindhearted to people that do not deserve it. Connection: I picked T. Smith for several reasons. First, I have known her for four years and has become quite close to her. Second, she is, on the outside, everything I wanted to be.
I lived in my elder sisters hand-me-downs for many years. This has taught me, not only the value of money and material items, but also how to be patient. I can now employ patience within my work place, and can understand why life might be financially challenging for some of the elderly people that I look after. I was always considered as being a bit of a 'soft touch' when I was younger, constantly letting others have their way. In my older life, and particularly within my job role, this has taught me that I can be emphatic and sympathetic towards people.
Leader Vs Manager HCS 475 Joann Dade August 24, 2015 Manager Vs Leader A successful leader is someone that creates future leaders and is able to obtain loyal followers. Any leader that is able to obtain these, can and will succeed in leading his/her team to success. During my early college years, I happen to have met the best manager and leader that one can have the pleasure of working for. This manager’s name was Kristin. She was my department manager in the retail store that I worked in for a year, while still going to school.
Students might not be comfortable with the idea of YRS at first. Many students' first reaction is the "horrible" thought of "losing" their summer vacations. Really, no one is "losing" the time they get away from school; it is just being spread out over a longer period of time, which is in the students' own best interests. Although it might take some time many students prefer YRS to the standard calendar. "I thought it would be a bit boring, because
I don’t think you understand how much you have mentally helped me this year. If I even had one negative thought about how a game went I just kept thinking to myself “kenzie doesn’t think so.” You are hands down the sweetest girl I have ever met and I’m so honored to be someone you look up to. I cannot wait to see what great things you will achieve in these next 3 years. Freshman year tryouts, I promise you there was more than just me and tiff that played from our class. Even though it was so long ago I can still vividly remember one practice.
Academically, my first year of high school was on a ball. I had 3.99 GPA average, and I was organized, and timely with my assignments. Freshmon Year I was on top of the world. However, that was the year I had to learn one of the big lessons life throws at you every once in a while. The lesson that people grow
Many people believe school should not be all year round for many reasons. In the summer time people go away, stress builds up and it would be hot to learn in and for teachers to teach in for schools that do not have air conditioning. I’m not with the idea of changing the school schedules because we should enjoy our summer, it will be too much tension or stress through the school year and it’ll be extremely hot during classes and studies.
They were not able to play and be worry free like the children of today are. It is hard to think about a little child working in mills and factories till late in the day, with nothing to show for themselves. Instead of learning at school, they had to work hard to survive. Their schooling stayed at a minimum until laws were passed requiring kids to go to the school house to learn during the week. Even with these laws in place, the public was still suffering.
As a child, I grew up in the migrant environment. It wasn't easy moving back and fourth to different states, dealing with school and having to work in the exhausting fields is not an easy task to do. Growing up I was aware of my parents struggles to sustain our home and needs. I then realized that education is imperative to economic well-being, despite having little of monetary value my parents never gave up on my sister and I. The fact that my parents grew up in a time that working was the only option being that they were not educated.
