We run for two reasons: fear and pleasure, while the Tarahumara solely run for the love of the sport. Many people use running for stress relief or simply run to escape their problems for a short while. Tarahumara run for the simple joy of running, and may run for multiple days without tiring. They do what they love and what they love is running. Many may say this is because they live in a less stressful and uncivilized environment but maybe it's because they do what they love that allows the to be stress free.
As being an insider in the running world, track and cross country are two completely different worlds, and I have found myself stuck in between both. Comparing these two different types of running is a lesson for me to remember and lesson to teach new learners. Track is a very competitive sport. Nobody will ever hear the words easy or quitting is the life of a track runner. There are many short distance runs you can choose from, and not many long ones.
My feelings are strong for racing like theirs is for other sports. But that why we are blessed to live in America, we can love what we want to it doesn’t really matter what people think. After reading both sides of the argument I hope there is a different opinion about racing. Whether people like it or not, racing is here to stay. Too much money is brought in to communities from racing and it would be foolish to ban the sport.
This helps to stop accidents because it removes distractions from a p-plate driver so they can focus solely on driving. Another danger P-plate drivers face while on the roads is their driving speed. If a driver is going too fast, they are not able to stop fast enough or pay enough attention while driving, which can cause accidents. The current p-plate laws are effective in reducing accidents through a drivers speed by introducing laws which limit p-plate drivers to the speed of 90km/h, as well as not allowing p-plate drivers to drive turbo or supercharged engines or have modifications in their engines. These p-plate laws are affective in reducing accidents on the road, because they reduce p-plate drivers to a low speed as well as slow cars.
As of then, I felt more confident with my ability to go fast the rest of the race. One mile sped by, still in the same place with my teammate, Cardiac Hill was rapidly approaching. Just then, my teammate announces to me, “Ethan, I know you can run faster than this.” I turned to him, nodded, then took off. Disregarding the fact that the most terrible hill in the race was at my feet, I had a sudden epiphany. Running is all in your head.
Sometimes sport can be a dangerous sport because player tackling to try to win the ball and there are a lot of injuries such as ankle sprains, concussion, groin pull and muscle cramps. This argument overlooks is the harmful side of soccer, but some injuries might not be happening due to you being healthy and fit. Soccer is one of the best ways to be fit and healthy because soccer requires a lot of running, making your muscle stronger to prevent injuries and increase your endurance to available to play full a whole

Though many believe these people to be crazy, it may simply be that these runners are better informed. A small group of people have decided to go “all natural” in barefeet due to newly developing knowledge of the foot and its relationship with the modern running shoe. “Human beings are designed to run without shoes” –Alan Webb, Americas greatest miler. Although societys inclination is to wear athletic shoes while running, there is evidence to show that barefoot running is more natural resulting in health and competitive benefits.

Many people think going to the gym and running on a treadmill or elliptical training for an hour or so will help their cardiovascular system. Out of that hour, how hard are they pushing themselves, are they going at a slow pace, or fast pace? Are they reaching the heart rate that will help them to burn off fat? Steady rate cardio only helps with your cardiovascular strength, whereas interval training help’s with endurance, your V02 Max, and overall conditioning (Grinnell). Experts are also saying that long distance standard running is bad for females.
