Infidelity and the reasons why men and women “cheat” According to the Divorce Guide one third of divorces in the United States are due to the infidelity. Infidelity is martial unfaithfulness or an instant of it. In a religion sense it is a sin of an unfaithful act of God, because marriage is a creation from God. Infidelity is an issue that arises among relationships and marriages. According to sociology professor who’s been reviewing marriages of over 6,000 men since 1979, states “There’s no question that men cheat more than women.” Overall no matter who cheats more, how they cheat, what way they cheat, or even the reasons they cheat it ultimately affects their relationship and their children if they have any. Infidelity can happen for various reasons. Some of those reason being that the one who is cheating isn’t receiving enough out of the marriage or relationship, they could have inner-self issues or low self-esteem, or they simply could be looking for a way out. Oddly, men and women have some similar reasons of why they cheat , but they have others reasons of why they cheat , which from research it’s more so based off of their individual gender feelings. Women tend to cheat most likely to escape from a relationship/marriage, becomes lonely, or simply wants revenge. Now you will find some women who cheat just for the thrill of, which is due to them not receiving the pleasure they want from their significant other. Overall women who cheat have a tendency to look for a partner who is an upgrade of what they have. Some women get married not based off of love and their dream man, but for security, which leads back to loneliness. Women have more of an “I just want to get married so I feel loved & safe”, unfortunately is not true love; because in the end all they want is someone around.
