Industrial sector & environment After the Industrial Revolution that occurred at the end of the 18th century and early 19th century, most of the countries in the world try to focus more on the development of industrial sectors. They believe that industrial sectors can generate the higher income to their country. Therefore, most of the countries change their economic structure from agriculture sector to industrial sector. Industrial sector has the potential to help people to achieve a variety of social objectives such as employment, poverty eradication, gender equality, labor standards, and greater access to education and healthcare. This is one of the important reasons why whole countries in this world too focus and care about their industrial sectors. If a country only focus on their agriculture sector, it is very difficult to that country to become a developed nation. Most of the country that based more on the agriculture sector is come from the developing country and less developing country (LDC). So, industrial sectors play an important role to make sure that country become a developed country. There are some countries that became a developed nation because of the industrial sector. For instance, Great Britain, United States, and also some of the Asian country like Japan, Taiwan, Korea, and Hong Kong. The industrial sector is basically divided into two, which is manufacturing and factory sector. There are some examples of the industrial sectors like textiles, chemical, food processing, beverages, electrical & electronic, automobile, cement, furniture, pharmaceutical & medicine, petroleum, and so on. Industrial sector has the big potential to help people to achieve a variety of social objectives but at the same time, industrial sector can has the negative environmental impacts such as causing a climate change, loss of natural resources, degradation
