Are you experiencing misfortunes today? Do you blame God for this? Do you believe that God doesn’t love you because He gives you intricate problems? Do you feel God’s presence in your life? Do you sense that God is not with you when you have tribulations? During hard times, we sometimes believe that God has forgotten us. That He had left us alone. But it’s not true. Remember what Jesus said, “I will never leave you; I will never forsake you. (Hebrews 13:5) ” He loves us, always has and always will. Sometimes we got so wrapped in our problems that we forgot that there is Someone who is just waiting for us to concede Him, to ask for His help. He is knocking on our doors, asking us to call out to Him and trust in Him (Revelation 3:20). Believe it or not, even if we cry out to God, in our times of hurt, we are mad at Him and blame Him and push Him away. The bible says that God is always with us, never changing. Therefore, it is not God who is moving away from us, but it is us who are moving away from Him. God is always with us, every step of the way, when we are crying, tired and weak, and if we can’t feel Him because of the pain, it is not because He is not there. He is just working out His plans in us and has been since time immemorial. One account that God is always with us is in the song “Footprints in the Sand”. The man there was walking with God and he noticed that there are two sets of footprints in the sand. When he was at the downfall of his life, he noticed that there is only a set of footprints in the sand. He said to God “You promised me Lord, that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there have only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, you have not been there for me?” God replied, “The times when you have seen only one set of footprints in the
