The droughts and increased heat has had negative impacts on local aquatic invertebrates. Aquatic invertebrates are adapted to survive in a particular range of temperature and habitat. But global warming makes it harder to survive. This could lead to the extinction of several species of aquatic invertebrates which in turn would lead to serious consequences of the ecosystem. Many of the aquatic invertebrates are responsible for keeping the ecosystem clean by feeding on litters.
It is very important that a person stays hydrated because water makes up more than half of your body weight, and not staying hydrated can result in your body shutting down and possible death. Your body uses water in many ways, all the cells in your body need water to function. All of your body’s tissues need water, and all of your body’s organs need water to function correctly. Some of the ways that your body uses water are ; water is used to regulate your body’s temperature, you sweet to lower your temperature when your body is overheating. Water is also used to carry vitamins and minerals to our body’s cells.
This, in turn, can affect habitat quality for plants and animals that live downstream. Biodiversity may be lost if aquatic plants and animals cannot tolerate changing water conditions. When large volumes of water are pumped from a stream or river, water chemistry can change significantly with a drop in water level. Temperatures may rise and oxygen levels may drop, affecting aquatic species that don't have a wide tolerance. Biodiversity may also be reduced if invasive species, such as the zebra mussel or golden algae, are introduced into a waterbody during the drilling process.
Unfortunately the skin is susceptible to animal and insect bites, which is where the skin becomes weekend and then its inability to protect us and because of this, the potential risk of infection increases. The skin has some mechanical characteristics that make it impermeable like necrobiosis, which is the shedding of dead skin. The skin has oils and some normal flora that inhibits the growth or spread of microorganism. Although our skin hosts many living microorganisms that defend against and fight foreign microorganisms that want to invade our bodies. The eyes and the hair in noses are other examples of the mechanical defenses for our bodies and work extremely hard.
Five ways water is used in the body - Your cells need water to live and survive. - Water helps remove dangerous toxins from the body. - You need water to keep your metabolism moving properly (which helps you burn calories) - IF you don't have enough water, your blood pressure can drop suddenly - Water keeps your skin hydrated - Water allows you to
Two environmental problems caused by extensive plastic bag use are the chemicals that make the plastic bag and the way we dispose of them. Plastic bags are very dangerous to the environment. The plastic bag is made of toxic chemicals like xylene, ethylene oxide and benzene. Plastic bags are non-biodegradable which means these toxic harmful chemicals are putting people and the environment at risk. Because people don't dispose of the plastic bags properly they get into water ways which eventually affect the see life as well as all other animals and living organisms including plants.
Janella Benitez Math 216 Honors November 28, 2011 Writing Assignment 3 In the article, “The Invasive Shrub European Buckthorn (Rhamus cathartica, L) Alters Soil Properties in Midwestern U.S. Woodlands” demonstrates how invasive shrubs and plants can alter soil properties the can have important conservation in systems. These shrubs can alter the chemical properties in soil such as, nitrogen and carbon. With these alterations, it can impact the chemical properties of the soil as well as effecting other ecosystems around. In the “Introduction” section of the article shows how invasive species can be capable of changing the infrastructure and ecosystem processes of habitats. The species can also be the cause of biodiversity loss of the ecosystems.
Imagine if there is no movement in the body everything will stagnant and just go bad. Endocrine system: this system includes the pancreas and pituitary gland. It controls homeostasis and releases hormones that control chemical reactions in the body. Without this the body will be out of rhythm and the body systems will not develop as it should. Skin and hair systems: The skin protects all of the other organs of the body from attack by germs and viruses, and helps the body to minimize water loss.
Each of these compounds is known to be poisonous, cancerous, or cause birth defects. The EPA fears that the drinking water will compromised due to runoff of the surface water discharge. Additionally, contamination of underground sources of drinking water and inadequate treatment of the waste water are possible. The threat of contaminated water supplies can cause a fearful population, largely due to the propaganda spread by anti-fracking initiatives. Although there are potential economical disadvantages to fracking, there are also enormous positives.
People want to be healthy but environmental forces can attack the body or the person may have genetic malfunctions. The main concerns in health are preventing disease and healing damage caused by injuries and biological attacks. Negative health: Negative health is normally based on how an individual absence of disease. This means that there’s high blood pressure, smoking, drinking and drug abuse. Not staying health by eating
