Trees are our best friends. They play a very important role in our life. We cannot live without them. They are very essential to our environment. They provide us many things which are useful for our daily lives. We are dependent on trees for the fulfillment of the basic needs of our lives, such as food, shelter, clothing, even health. But above all, the creation of an eco-friendly planet is dependent on the trees. Since they evolved, trees have had a great influence on the shaping of the ecology of our planet and in determining the present arrangements of life on earth. Trees play an important role in the weather and climate. Trees provide us food and shelter. They also provide fire wood, furniture and medicine. The roots of the trees retain the moisture of the soil. It has the ability to absorb water and salts from the earth and transport them up to the leaves, sometimes over 400ft above. The roots of the trees hold the soil firmly and prevent soil erosion. This leads to the increase in the ground water level and the continuity of water cycle gets balanced resulting in good rains. By means of photosynthesis, the leaves then combine the water and salts with carbon dioxide from the air to produce the nutrients, which serve as food for the tree. Trees also clean polluted air by removing carbon di oxide from the air. Ultimately trees prevent the drought and provide greenery to the environment. Apart from taking care of the soil and water, the trees provide shelter to many animals and birds in the forests which ultimately help in the ecological balance of the nature. The trees provide us shade and the breeze will be so cool in the places where there are number trees. Many people who suffer from chronic ailments are said to feel better when they were put in a beautiful tree surrounded areas. Having more number of trees around will reduce the hazardous effects of
