Even though the climate in these areas may be a little arid, the river keeps the people with water and provides them what they need in order to create a society and living with happiness. People also used other things in the physical environment such as wood. Many trees were cut to provide wood for people and then they used wood to create other things like timber. The human ability to modify the physical environment is something seen often when you are studying history. People that cooked got their food from the crops they got.
Senior Geography Project by Lachlan Sprott Sustainable Agriculture- Cudgen NSW Abstract The following report will examine sustainable agriculture in the area of Cudgen. I will be Focussing on the Cudgen soil conservation project, Compost trials, soil, the Cudgen erosion project, and organic farming. I have researched on the internet and also by talking to local farmers and land care groups. Introduction Agriculture is the main land use in Cudgen, it puts many impacts on the area, socially, economically, and environmentally, all these pressures are putting viability on agriculture in Cudgen. However there are ways we can solve these problems by following sustainable agriculture strategies.
However, not all effects are negative. Forest fires play an important role in keeping our forests healthy and ecosystem in balance. Fire clears wild lands of heavy brush, leaving room for new grasses, herbs and regenerated shrubs that pro¬vide food and habitat for many wildlife species. With fewer plants absorbing water, streams are fuller, benefiting other types of plants and animals. Over the past 50 years forest managers have developed a policy of either preventing or putting forest fires out quickly.
They provide themselves with food but they also know which plants, fruits and nuts are edible in the woods. They also have a vegetable pit. They have water because they live next to a stream. Tree-ear and Crane-man live under a bridge and that's their shelter. They have clothes because Crane-man makes them.
Even in rain, the trees act as barriers making the trails usually less muddy to run in. As well as the Amazing workout I would also to discuss how this Bog is truly a precious natural resource that helps reduce the impact of climate change in several ways, the 3 examples I have are listed as followed:
Ecologically, renewal begins almost immediately; however, if left to do so naturally the process will be slow. Once the dead wood is removed and new trees are planted the regeneration phase is sped up to make safer and productive habitat for all of the forest’s plants and habitat. The global warming trend that we see being aggravated by the MPB epidemic will gradually renew balance and the new forests will begin to capture emissions and create oxygen, in turn creating a healthy
Part of a balanced diet is to have fruit and vegetables, it can help us stay healthy, and this is why we should try to eat a lot of it. Fruit and vegetables taste delicious as there is a variety to choose from, eating fruit and vegetable can reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke and cancer. It is important to have at least 5 fruits and vegetables per day because fruit and vegetable have excellent sources of vitamins and fibre while being low in fat and calories. Eating 5 or more fruit and vegetables is one of the most important choices to an individual who want to have an healthy balanced diet. Having 5 a day are tasty, convenient and
Deforestation is when trees and other vegetation is being removed converting the forest to another land use, this exposed the soil and often leads to erosion and loss of soil fertility. The valuable nutrients of the soil are being washed away by erosion. To prevent this, we need to stop cutting down trees to create so many buildings, business owners should try to find established dwellings to put their business on. Deforestation also poses a threat to the food chain. These three major causes of soil erosion can be prevented and it will benefit everyone as a whole by creating a sustainable society for our environment.
Since it is a plant it will help reduce the “green house” gases and pollution in the air, not to mention making a cleaner burning fuel source to replace gasoline and reduce the amount of pollution even more. The plant also does not take much soil space and can be grown in between other crops such as corn. Hemp as long roots so that it improves soil structure and replenishes soil with nutrients and nitrogen and helps control erosion of topsoil. Also, once harvested, any residue can act as eco-friendly manure. It is also a weed suppresser to prevent other weeds from growing because it grows so fast and densely, it blocks out sunlight to other weeds that are trying to grow.
The water from the rivers would flow through bringing down soil from the mountains in which made the soil super fertile. The fertile ground and great climate was a great place for agriculture. The rich soil and way to grow food helped contribute to this society. People were able to plant all kinds of crops and grow food. Since people were able to grow food they were able to start staying in one place instead of moving around.
