Firstly a leader is considered to be the most authoritarian figure with, sharp mind, performs well even ‘under pressure’ and strives hard to achieve the goal of an organization. Chief executive is considered to be the major power for a corporate performance (Wiersema 2003). Collins and Porras (1997) considers organizations accomplishment in following business ethics and this depends on leadership even Peter and Waterman (1982) found this in their research on ‘excellent companies’. A leader is supposed to stir the feeling of team work thereby enhancing company’s performance. (Goldsmith 2003) says a leader is expected to possess certain qualities such as satisfying the client, ’communicating vision and focusing on results’. (Quy 2001) considers a leaders effectiveness in training his employee with these qualities and instigating a sense of belonging towards the organization thereby thinking about the organization as a whole rather than at personal level.(Lussier and Achua 2004) .
