Having a high level of English in writing, listening, speaking, and reading, is crucial in finding a job. Your proficiency in English is one of the main things that employers pay attention to, when you go for a job interview.
But at the same time it’s really not fair to compare their performance with your English speaking students. So there is a must need for standard based instruction that pertains to the needs of just ELLs. If we try to hold them to the standards of native English speaking students this could actually hurt their self esteem since they probably would never reach the same goals on the same level. Also it could lead to an ELL being missed diagnosed with a learning disability (LD). This is why there have been some efforts to develop English Language Development (ELD) standards.
The advantages of this method of communication is that Samir would find a way to communicate without him, express his feeling and interact more with others. How I communicate verbally also depends a lot on my audience as well. When I am speaking with someone who knows fluent English and they are from America I feel that they may be on my intellectual level and I do not have to explain or rephrase my statements a much. However when I am speaking with someone who speaks a different language I speak to them as if they are children. I do not use lots of big words that I think they may not understand, I "dumb it down" sort of speak, in an attempt to make them feel more comfortable but I have learned that this makes people feel offended. I also like that you can highlight and move sentences and paragraphs in a way that you cannot do on paper. The downside to becoming so used to the computer working for you is when the computer misses your mistakes. The word processing software is not perfect and often misses mistakes that we over look and assume have been corrected. Another problem is when you are writing on paper and use improper grammar and misspell words there is nothing there to remind you of your mistakes but yourself. Whenever I write by hand I have to think a lot harder about how to spell certain words.

Envious vs. Jealous At first glance the average person might think that the words envious and jealous can be used interchangeably, because they are synonyms, but if you stop and analyze these two words you will find that they are not all that interchangeable. When it comes to deciding what words are kept in a language and what words are eventually replaced by more efficient words, a linguist knows that a language can only stand to keep words that communicate something and that are efficient in that communication process. Due to the fact that a language only keeps words that are need to communicate something that is unique to that word I believe that the English language would not keep envious and jealous if the two words communicated the same exact message. In the first half of this paper I will analize the word envious and how it is used in literary examples. Then in the second half of this paper I will look at the word jealous and how it is used in literary texts.
The reaction of a s/u is important, they could be in pain, different opinions and portray their feelings. Finding out a s/u communication and language needs is to speak clearly, fluently without hesitating making sure you are understood, if the s/u cannot speak then you can do sign language, communication books, pictures, writing. If you are having problems communicating with your service user then I would ask my manager. If you talk in jargon the s/u will not understand you. Good communication and understanding of your s/u and offering appropriate feedback, they may have a hearing problem and may not get the whole conversation, making sure that there is not any other noise going on in the back ground so that you are clearly understood by either body language, attitude and signs.
