Shahadah: This is the belief of all Muslims that Allah is one, he is the only god, and Muhammad (PBUH) is his messenger. This meaning that Allah is a unique being and that Muhammad is Allah’s greatest prophet; 2. Salat (Prayer): This is the physical act of worship. Muslim’s are expected to pray five times a day facing towards Mecca. This depicts Muslim’s submission to Allah.
The body of the deceased is washed an odd number of times, washing always commences on the right-side of the body. Washing begins with the hands, arms, mouth, nostrils and finishes with the feet (Ross 2001). Care is taken at all times to handle the body with of the deceased as gently as possible, and to ensure that the body is never uncovered entirely. When the washing ritual has been completed the body of the deceased is wrapped in a burial shroud and placed in a wooden coffin. Normally the washing and shrouding of a deceased individual is undertaken in a mosque; however hospitals are adapting to meet the needs of the Islamic faith by providing a
They believe religious and secular life is inseparable and also physical, emotional and spiritual health. All of the three components are crucial to make a person completely healthy. Physical injuries cause pain, and the person is emotionally affected and their minds are distracted. Islam teaches their followers to look after their body as it is a gift from God. They are taught to give prime priority to spiritual health and physical and emotional health is secondary.
The Muslim cultures are found within the Middle East. The culture practices are very strict with praying five times a day. Muslim people recite the Shahadah. The men wear loose gown and usually a turban; growing a beard as long as possible. The women are conservative wearing loose-fitting clothing covered down to the ankle, with a veil worn on the head.
This course has been a refresher to me on safety and sanitation and some of the practices that are sometimes overlooked. As a business owner it is my responsibility to make sure that my establishment a clean and safe place for my clients to come and get serviced. On a daily basis it is my practice to make sure my floors are cleaned and mopped at the end of each day. My shampoo bowl and chair are wiped down after each client is serviced and I use a neck strip and clean cape on each client. When performing chemical services as in color or relaxers, I use a separate pair of gloves and dispose of them after each use.
I also expected the soap plate to have minimum growth because that procedure included the soap-and-brush scrub. PROCEDURE: we had to select two nutrient agar plates, and label one plate “water” and label the other plate “soap”. The water plate is divided into four quadrants, and the quadrants are labeled 1-4. The soap plate is divided into five sections, and each section is labeled 1-5. Using the “water” plate first, I washed my hands without soap, and touched quadrant 1.
This involves a member of the team switching on every shower and tap in the building so that they run at the same time for around 5 minutes. This allows the pipes and tanks to be flushed through from any stagnant water that can cause Legionella. It is very important that these are physically carried out as if a member was harmed by this proof would need to be provided that these checks are being carried out. • As a manager our main responsibilities with regards to Health and Safety policy are to ensure that all our members of staff are trained in all areas of this section. This includes our staff being

When planning activities we must make sure their there is enough space for the activities to be carried out safely. Toilet areas are also checked on a regular basis throughout the day to make sure it is clean, has toilet paper towels and soap available for hand washing. The temperature of the room also needs to be comfortable and sufficient lighting and there is always fresh drinking water available. A first aider will always be present in the rooms. For a child who has a hearing impairment we would provide visual aids for them so they can be made aware of health and safety, for example if a child was running indoor we could have no running signs around the room and point this out to them.
Christians and Muslims believe all humans are born sinless, but human weakness leads to sin. Both faiths teach that one must seek out forgiveness from God through prayer. Muslims have a requirement to pray five times a day and Christians have no set amount of prayers. Christianity and Islam both give us the knowledge to know right from wrong, both gives us the choice to live the right way. Muslims believe in the Day of Judgment, heaven and hell just as they do in Christianity.
