Jessica Peinado Professor Silverman Eng. 122 02 August 2013 Immigration Impact on U.S Economy There is nothing like experiencing the ambition of immigrants firsthand; being born in the United States from migrant parents has proved the tremendous ambition foreigners have for the “American dream”. Americans have a high standard of living which drives immigrants to conquer the “American dream”. The U.S. Constitution was put into effect to accomplish “that standard,” as colonies became increasingly large the petition was roaring for an established government. As noted scholar Alden, who is the Bernard L. Schwartz Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations states, the U.S. Constitution has no mention of immigration, yet the U.S. government has misinterpreted this flaw by setting numerous laws on immigration (2012). The United States is a melting pot of different cultures, free borders and emigration will only enhance the U.S. economy. It is proven by many studies the U.S. economy can only thrive as both legal and non-legal immigrants enter the United States for a better future. As immigrants seek to become prosperous in the U.S. this ambition is reflected in endless contributions by immigrants from social security to real estate, entrepreneurship and massive innovation are some of the most beneficial to the United States economy.
