One who attained this type of faith is called a Muhsin. He will do as best as he can to worship Allah, to obey to Allah’s command and do what pleases Him. This is the level of righteousness, perfection, as well as doing and saying the ultimate good for the sake of goodness. Surah An-Nahl (16:90):
Checkpoint: Five Pillars of Islam The central beliefs of Islam include an oneness of God and humanity, Prophethood, human relationship with the divine, the unseen life, and the last judgment. These beliefs are further extended and explained through the “Five Pillars”. The “Five Pillars” provide instructions for rituals and ways to live. These instructions enable the Muslim people to live their lives in a fashion that brings them closer to God (Fisher, 2005). The first pillar is believing and professing the unity of God and the messengership of Muhammad.
In Islam, all individuals are created in the likeness of Allah, thus all humans are depicted to be equal (Husain, 2002). In contrast, Hinduism believes in a multifaceted concept of God, where God is categorized as monism, henotheism, monotheism or polytheism. Hindus tend to worship one God, but under different forms. With many deities, Hinduism believes the creator of the world to be Brahma, while Vishnu is regarded as the preserver of the universe. Shiva, the most highly regarded God is believed to be the destroyer.
The Five Pillars of Islam The Five Pillars of Islam form the moral framework for the Muslim life. They are the testimony of faith, prayer, fasting during the month of Ramadan, giving to the needy, and the pilgrimage to Mecca once in a lifetime. These acts are considered pillars because they are the very foundation to which Islam is built upon. The first pillar, Shahada, is the confession that Allah is the one and only true God and that there is no other god before Allah. The Shahada also states that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah and is recognized as the true and greatest prophet of Allah; it was through Muhammad that Allah conveyed the last and final revelation (Slick, 2010).
Through the divinity and humanity of the Christ, Christians and believers share the stories through word of mouth. The Son of God is also evident from the sacred texts of the Gospel testimonies which include the wonders and recoveries on people achieved by Jesus, and from the witness to his death, resurrection and ascension into heaven by his followers and other eyewitnesses. The beliefs of the divinity recognise his relationship to God as Son. Jesus’s divinity showed Jesus’ role to be the salvation of humanity and to resurrect and rise to defeat death. In the Gospel of John 1:14 “The Word became
Christians believe that God created the world and all that is in it. It is believed that humanity is created in the image of God, and that God gave people free will therefore there is good and evil in the world. The Ten Commandments are guidelines received by Moses from God on how adherents can lead good lives. They should not be avoided in fear of punishment, but embraced as a way to be saved from The Fall, where humans make sinful choices. Adherents believe meaning can be found in their response to evil and suffering.
For this reason the Quran is the same across the entire Muslim world because any change would be considered to make it imperfect. Thus we can assume that any use of Shari’a law using the Quran must be divinely inspired. The second source is the Sunnah and Hadith; these are the actions of Muhammed as a Prophet and the
Because David asked for mercy, God extended mercy to him and his wife Bathsheba, according to 2nd Samuel 12:24-25. In addition, God loved on Solomon, who was the son of David and Bathsheba. So therefore, it reflected that God bestowed mercy on David in spite of the sins that he committed. The key words in the scriptures that are connected with mercy are lovingkindness, love, and forgiveness. So therefore, David was thankful that God was merciful to him.
It is thus a way of life or a value system. The word 'Religion' is used for the lack of a better synonym for 'Dharma' in English language. Hinduism describes Dharma as the natural universal laws whose observance enables humans to be contented and happy, and to save himself from degradation and suffering. Dharma is the moral law combined with spiritual discipline that guides one's life. Hindus consider Dharma the very foundation of life.
