Image processing fundamentals worksheet (LO 1.1, 1.2, 2.1, 2.2) Identify and explain the following points; provide images, thumbnails and reference the source of information when necessary: 1. Film versus Digital Photography; identify both formats strengths and weaknesses Digital photography Strengths 1. Images are on the spot look up in Digital photography, can see your results straight away. Really save time and photographer can view his work on screen. 2. Save more money than film and can long run. 3. Can preview the images before the printed and can make change any adjustments in image editing software. 4. Not necessary to wait until film roll finished and no need chemical to image processes. Weaknesses 1. Can be low quality unless digital camera is very high end DSLR. Film camera comes in 35mm format. 2. Digital camera cannot work without batteries, as sensors need power to operate. 3. Digital cameras more sensitive to weather than film cameras. 4. Classic way of taking and developing images. 4. More efficient at taking black and white images. Weaknesses 1. Cameras are heavier than digital cameras. 2.
