If Life Is Sacred Should We Ever Kill Anyone ?

We are humans, and humanity is synonymous with love, care and responsible affection. Taking the life of other people is not acceptable. However, there may be situations where taking the life of an individual is justified and perhaps necessary for the security of the society. Capital punishment has been with us for quite some time now. However, many countries have abolished the death penalty, stating that it is unethical and immoral. The person to whom the death penalty is given is also a human being but in some cases there are people who have violated the sacredness of life. They do not respect life and do not have any idea of its importance. These people could be classified as murderers or psychopaths, and do not deserve to be alive for the security and well being of the society. In cases such as these, I would plead that capital punishment is very much justified. Abortion is another issue to be discussed about. One cannot or should not have an abortion just because one does not want that child. That should be considered as a murder as a life is being destroyed. However abortion can be done when the life of the mother is in danger where it is better to save one life than losing two. We also have cases where girls are being raped and left pregnant. I strongly believe that in those particular cases mentioned above, abortion should be permitted. In conclusion to this whole debate, it can easily be stated that each and every life is precious and needs to be respected. The bottom-line is that we are not at a liberty to take anyone’s life and interfere in the natural process. Except for a few key issues, where taking a life is the absolute solution, no lives should be taken as life is, without any doubt,
