If you are out-going, be out-going. If you are quiet, be quiet. Don't try to be like some famous coach that you idolize. Without any doubt, there may be many excellent ideas and qualities that we can or should learn from successful coaches, but combining them into your own philosophy? Whatever your style is, be agreeable with that and, without adjusting your principles, be someone

Miss Lisa says the key to a successful day is planning. She says that a class schedule should be free of “dead time”, and the students should be familiar with all routines and expectations. She finds it important to make lessons fun, engaging and hands-on. Miss Lisa makes her lesson plans at home. She meets with her assistant teacher in the morning before the children come in and shares with her assistant what the lesson plan for the day is.
Problem Prevention Plan: Six Grade Classroom Yvonne McCullum Liberty University My main goals for my six graders the first weeks of class will be to organize my classroom in a group/team setting environment. I will introduce myself and other students, review the class expectations for behavior, class procedures, syllabus, and a "get acquainted" game. Once this is done I will get to academics. I want my students to feel comfortable and love their new environment, a classroom that is fun and safe where learning can take place. My students will develop a community that respects each other in the classroom as well as out of the classroom.
I will spend a set amount of time on each class certain days. On the days I do not schedule for classes, if I have free time, I can catch up on any assignment I need to. The way I am juggling school and family responsibilities will be to set aside time for school in the morning while my children are at school and my husband is at work. By doing so, I will have plenty of time for my family responsibilities in the afternoon and at night. When I get a job I will change my school time to after the kids have gone to bed, so it doesn’t interfere with my family time.
In our heads, as soon as we are taught certain things, those doors are opened up to us. As long as we have a teacher of something, that part of our brain will become unlocked. Because of this, there are limitless and numerous variations of what we can learn, be taught, and discover. Once we are taught, we can take what we learn and run with it. Making our own observations, tinkering with ideas, inventing new things are all achievable as soon as our minds are opened to it.
It has been a long time since I have been required to use or learn new vocabulary. I have learned through my experiences in life that if you want something you have to work hard for it. Success is not given, it is earned. You have to dedicate yourself completely in all that you choose to do in life. Do not ever let yourself or anyone else tell you that you cannot achieve your goals, only you can keep yourself from reaching what you have set out to
Reflective Journal Corey Poitier ED 502 08/21/2012 Professor Bunker Reflective Journal As an educator, you are constantly always learning new techniques or strategies from readings or your fellow educators at the school. Comparing best practices that teachers employ to what is used in my classroom. The first comparison is about classroom arrangement. “As Fred Jones, a noted classroom management expert explains: “A good classroom seating arrangement is the cheapest form of classroom management. It’s discipline for free.”” (Dunbar, 2004).
