If I were elected as a president, the first thing I would do is taking more serious actions to make Indonesia a better country. I’m going to set aside more money for education system. Elementary school to high school education should be free, and higher education should be cheaper. Maybe we can give out student loans like what they do in United States. Or even make it an obligation for everyone to go to school and university with punishments to those who don’t, just like what they do in Netherlands. Education and the next generation are very important to a country’s growth. We have to banish stupidity and poverty, educate the young folks intelligently and emotionally and keep them away from the streets and laziness that will only destroy their futures. Next, I would nationalize companies in vital industries of Indonesia. Our country has a lot of oil, mines, and all of those important industries but the share for the country itself is very small. International companies get the most money. If I were a president, I would nationalize all those vital industries that are valuable the most to Indonesian people, or at least I’ll totally revise the contracts. Indonesia deserves more money to build its nation. This also has to be applied along without getting into more debts and pay current debts. More money from IMF won’t do Indonesia any good. Another thing I would do to make this country better is taking China’s action in dealing with corruptors: death penalty for all corruptors. Prison system won’t work for corruptors and so far they just pay more to actually get good services and luxuries inside, death penalty will scare anyone to do a corruption, China’s corruption rate totally decrease because they’ll shoot any corruptors dead, we should just do the same thing. Lastly, I actually think about building nuclear technology although it sounds pretty impossible. People
