An ideal computer must meet and exceed all the requirements you expect of it. From the hardware, software, and peripheral devices my ideal computer must perform flawlessly. Of course this involves tons of research in order to gather the right parts for your computer system. But ultimately though all the parts gathered are from the user’s preference. First off the most important parts for my ideal computer would be the hardware. The one place where I would purchase my hardware would be from newegg.com but I would choose various manufacturers for my components. My processor or also known as the Central Processing Unit (CPU) is basically the brain of the system. The processor I chose is Intel Corei7 920 2.66 GHZ 1366 130W quad core processor and this CPU will cost me $295. The motherboard is the most important component of your system. I chose to use Gigabyte GA- EX58-UD3R LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Motherboard and this component will cost me $200. The monitor is the component that displays the visual output from your computer. The monitor I chose was the LG W2600H-PF Black 25.5” Widescreen LCD with HDCP and height adjustment this top notch monitor will cost $430. For a keyboard and mouse these components are the primary input mechanisms for your PC. For me any keyboard or mouse will get the job done as long as it is wireless. The keyboard and mouse I have chosen is Microsoft Gray and Black RF Wireless and both of these will cost $60 combined. The hard drive is the data center for your computer and where all your programs and data are stored. The Samsung Spin Point F1 750GB 7200Rpm 32 MB Cache SATA 3.0 GB is very well sufficient enough for me and this will cost me $80. The memory is where the computer holds current programs and data that are in use. The Corsair XMS3 6GB 240-Pin DDR3 is the memory of my choice and will cost me $164.
