Breathtaking vistas or stark walls can attribute to the overall ambiance of a monument. When a group or agency is in the early stages of designing a momument, they must keep in mind of the location. The two reflecting pools located at Ground Zero in New York City pay tribute to the Twin Towers and serve as a somber reminder of the largest loss of life by a foreign attack on American soil. Contrariwise, in Easton, Pennsylvania, a statue of Christopher Columbus quaintly resides in Riverside Park (Source B). Between the leaves of the trees, Columbus is pictured confidently striding, as if to mimic his steps when he discovered the New World.

Through out the book, we see Katniss transform from a barley-surviving citizen to the outer district to the heroin of the novel. Katnisses death is foreshadowed
At the end, nearly the same paragraph is the last words. Clara wrote this in her journal. Turns out, Clara wrote in her journal to give to Alba one day. “At birth Rosa was white and smooth, without a wrinkle, like a porcelain doll, with green hair and yellow eyes—the most beautiful creature to be born on earth since the days of original sin, as the midwife put it, making the sign of the cross.” Rosa is Clara's older sister. Rosa was supposed to marry Esteban.

The Hunger Games were created as punishment for rebellion in District 13, which now lies in ruins. Each year, the remaining districts must provide two tributes to fight to the death in the annual Hunger Games. The Ancient Worldview Grand Canyon University Introduction to World Literature The Ancient Worldview I selected two pieces by Florentine Codex “The Mid-Wife Addresses the Newly Delivered” and “The Midwife Addresses the Woman Who Has Died in Childbirth.” I thought that each piece was moving by expressing the value placed upon life. I truly enjoyed “The Mid-Wife Address the Newly Delivered” it outlined the purpose of a new birth. I believe that each of the writing is evident in the world by the recognition of life purpose. In stanzas of the poem “The Mid-Wife Addresses the Newly Delivered” Codex has a midwife give praise to a woman for her strength in enduring a hard labor during childbirth by using descriptive words such as “toiled,
It looked very alive with all the colorful leaves. I learned that Armstrong County is full of activities to do. Since there are a lot of trails and lakes, it is a great place to go if you are an outdoor kind of person. If I had the opportunity to go to this county, I would not pass up the chance. I would love to walk on the trails of the parks and go fishing and boating in the lakes.
In The Hunger Games, government control worked differently by having the Capitol, as the government city, wealthy with unlimited access to food and supplies, while leaving each district fighting for food in different ways of making money such as mining, fishing, and farming. There are boundaries around each district that you are not allowed to travel out of resulting in death. The Government hosts the annual Hunger Games throwing two people, a boy and girl, from each district into a capitol made stadium in a fight to the death battle aired on television for entertainment. Our government is nothing like this but you can relate how the government makes the rules are if you do not follow them you are punished. There are a lot of laws that people disagree with but have to live with
This culture must wake up from their accident or condition and come to grip with the fact that they will never be normal again. In this film there is an American Paralympic Rugby team that battles everyday life to become strong figures in society. The game of wheelchair Rugby is also known as murderball and is very violent. The players crash in to each other’s chairs to stop the opposite team from crossing the goal line with the ball. They have to dribble once every ten seconds and can pass it back and forth with their teammates.
Ashlee Williams November 4, 2012 Creative Writing Response Paper In Alice Sebold’s novel “The Lovely Bones”, it’s apparent that her main focus is to show the significance between life and death and how the love for someone forms a bridge between the two. Aside from her goal in showing the relationship between those two elements, she also strives to show the reader the story in a different perspective unlike any other and does so in a spectacular way. Throughout the story, Sebold does a wonderful job of narrating the story in a first person point of view. We learn from the text that it’s being told by Susie Salmon, the story’s main character who is just an innocent 14-year old girl who is victim to rape and murder after heading from school one day. You can easily draw from the voice of the character that she is still very young and has yet to reach the age of great maturity.
