1. Explain the link between corporate business strategy (profit) and corporate Human Resource strategy. How should the two interrelate? Explain, with reference to such practices as: preparing to hire, hiring, and training. The link between corporate business strategy and corporate Human Resource strategy is, or better should be, aligned as efficiently as possible in order for a firm’s goals and objectives to be fully achieved. This, in my opinion, is a “business law”, and it should be kept in synchronization at all times if a business of any kind wishes to maximize profitability and minimize expenditure. The corporate business strategy of a company is where, or, at which point this company wishes to arrive in regards to its goals and objectives and its product or service success. What will the business driver be? This question is usually answered by the unique corporate business strategy that each firm will employ to achieve its goals. The better a business of any kind, researches and analyzes its market, environment, resources and competition, the better chances it will have, in arriving at their targeted goals and objectives. A fundamental aspect of this success though relies on the efficiency of the company’s operations. The productivity of the company’s personnel is a crucial factor that will influence whether the company will maximize its potential profitability levels or not. This is where the Human Resources strategy comes in place, since the scope of the Human Resources Department, is to maximize the productivity of an organization by optimizing the effectiveness of its employees. The Human Resources Department of an organization, and its input towards the realization of the organization’s goals and objectives, is a lot more important than most people think. This particular department will design the systems that will be used in managing the people
