Human qualities can either be good or bad due to whom the person is. The book Lord of the Flies is about kids stranded on an island with no survival skills trying to survive and encounter many problems as their on their journey. The play Romeo and Juliet is about two families who do not get along but their children fall in love with each. These kids have to make many harsh and difficult decisions to be together again. Human qualities tend to destroy communities for different types of things or qualities. Some Human qualities that tend to destroy communities are Jealousy, Selfishness, and Hatred. These Human qualities have had effects on communities. These qualities also have negative effects on the people they hurt leaving them angered. Bad qualities tend to destroy communities and destroy others as well. Hatred is one of the bad qualities people have. Anger can quickly overcome people, plus it can cause violent thoughts and acts. “This, by his voice, should be a Montague Fetch me my rapier, boy. What dares the slave Come hither, cover’d with an antic face, To fleer and scorn at our solemnity? Now, by the stock and honour of my kin. To strike him dead, I hold it not a sin.”(Page 81-83, lines 51-56, 1.5)1 Romeo went to the Grand Masquerade that was hosted by Juliet’s father named lord Capulet. Unfortunately, Juliet’s cousin named Tybalt saw the Montague Romeo and wanted to hit him but fortunately Lord Capulet told the violent Tybalt not to, because it will bring a very bad name against him. Especially since Lord Capulet is well respected in the community he did not want to lose the respect that those people have on him. Tybalt who is provoked very easily, deeply hates the Montague’s so much that he thinks any insult caused by them should be punished by him killing them.
