Some analysts think that success or failure of an organization is related to such critical factor as the human capital. It also believed that there is a critical link in a modern performance management, which is one of the sources of healthy employee relations. Mostly attention in a modern performance management program is paid on the achievement of the desired results or outcomes; usually it is measured by their quality (impact) not by their quantity. Attitude to employees is very important as well, so some positive outcomes were noticed when employees were treated as champions and as a significant aspect of the organization. One of the outcomes of such treatment is the improvement of the overall organizational performance. “War for talents” always existed in private and public sectors of job market, managers of human resource departments almost all the time are looking for bright and talented employees. In other words, the organization must be able to use a strategy and management system which will improve the performance of the business with future outgrow of its rivals. Nevertheless, the most fundamental asset of majority of businesses is its employees. This essay will take a look on the case of Wal-Mart, mainly on its human resource management issues and strategies.
