Although some perspectives on the subject claim women live in bad faith and put themselves in situations to be defined as a body part, if there was no routine of male’s looking or the notion to dominate and females attention starvation or feelings to please, there would be no need for a dominant and submissive relationship. Overall it seems woman will be in a constant battle overcoming their gender because it’s society and that’s just how it works. Whether it’s right or wrong, at the end of the day, if nothing drastic is done for change, then it is what it is and people will conform to
Not only does she try to impress everyone with her appearance but she also goes along with Char, and gets in trouble because she has no ability to say no and walk away. Maleeka takes the blame at first, but towards the end of the novel she gets her courage and tells on Char. She finally finds herself and realizes she is beautiful without Chars expensive clothing. She also realized she doesn’t need to stick out; she just needs to be herself. In the end Maleeka and Caleb are backed together and Maleeka is friends with Miss Saunders.
Most people don't think that being themselves is good enough for other people, so they try and be someone they're not. Ke$ha always tells her fans to always be themselves and not care about what other people think. Would you ever think of wearing blue lipstick out in public? I know I wouldn't, but maybe now I'll try something wild and see how people react. How many people that you know make jokes about things that are unfortunate and are about the downside of life?
You want to know why you’re a loner because you are too afraid to put yourself in a position of “dislike”. You’d rather have a lot of people like you for being neutral rather than have some people love you and hate you for being yourself. How do you expect to pick up girls if you can’t stand out from the rest of the loner kid population?

They could not wear anything too revealing like nothing above ankle length or anything that showed off their skin. But by wearing make up women would be a little freer to show how sexual they could or would be. This did not mean to wear globs of make up but just enough to get a potential mate’s attraction. The idea of make up has changed over time and it seems that the more a woman puts on the less attractive she is but if the women wears none she is seen to not care much about her appearance. There is a thin line women have to tread but we seem to be during it
If one staffer is exhausted by a tidal wave of sexist e-mail and comments, another one will be eager to take her place, confident in her own imperviousness. If a writer becomes uncomfortable with using her own life for material – or, like Hannah Horvath on “Girls,” runs out of life experiences to turn into stories – there will be someone else out there who is invigorated by the possibilities of the personal essay. We shouldn’t look at this as women simply liking to overshare. This is what gets page-views, and what’s the easiest for the most writers to produce. The desire here is about getting published, not (in most cases) about sharing something personal with the world.
Pg. 108 "She was appalled by West Egg...by its raw vigor that chafed...and by the too obtrusive fate that herded its inhabitants along a short-cut from nothing to nothing. She saw something awful in the very simplicity she failed to understand." c. Daisy’s best qualities is that she allows herself to play right back at Tom in his little game. She knows that he is going to be flirting with girls all night, so she allows it while she sneaks away to do a little flirting of her own with Mr. Gatsby.
Ironically, she is admitting Summers’ first point by herself implying that even she does not want to work 80 hours and she further argues that women are discouraged from making these time commitments because of discrimination in terms of earnings. This is ironic because Tong states that Summers is wrong and then through her offered proof confirms that women are hesitant to work 80 hours per week because it isn’t necessary or because they will suffer discrimination in terms of earnings. Unintentionally, Tong seems
