Live Each Day As If It Was Your Last Drawing from some of the most pivotal points in his life, Steve Jobs, CEO and Co-founder of Apple and Pixar, urges the audience of his commencement speech from Standford University, to pursue their dreams and see opportunities in life's setbacks. Essentially, the subject of his speech is to live as if you will die tomorrow, and dream as if you will live forever. He encourages people to follow their heart and intuition, because somehow they already know what we truly want. He raises an eye opening debate, that, if on a daily basis people asked themselves in the mirror “If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do, what I am about to do, today?” He further explains, that whenever the answer has been no for too many days in a row, something in your life needs to change. So many people are doing things not because they want to, but because other people want them to, or because they feel it is the right thing to do. Steve dropped out of his early years in college because the classes he was taking did not interest him. He claims that as soon as he dropped out of the required classes he had no interest in, he could start dropping in on classes that did interest him. Steve ended up taking calligraphy classes because he found them fascinating, but felt none of which had any hope of practical application in his life. Ten years later though, when he was designing the first Macintosh, it all came back to him, and he incorporated all the beautiful typography he once learned, into his computers.
