The things the world needs to work on is that kids are not eating the fruits, vegetables, and grains they need to eat in a day. The people in this world need to help the kids break their habit of eating junk food all the time. The world need to start by taking away some of the junk food in schools and exchange it with fruits and vegetables. School lunch ladies need to give the kids the nutrients they need so they do not gain weight.
This will allow the parents who are not financially able to pay for their child’s lunch every day or send a lunch to school the opportunity of assurance that their child will not miss a meal and obtain a nutritious meal. The community has started a program where donations will be taken year round for students to take home a small sack each Friday. The small sack will also provide healthy food for the child but also is beneficial for families that are unable to maintain food in their homes and a child won’t miss a meal. The Georgia Department of Education School Nutrition Program has created the Georgia Eat Smart. The purpose of the Georgia Eat Smart is to promote good nutrition, physical activity and wellness for k-12 students and their parents.
Throughout the years children of all ages have become obese from the lack of nutrition, as well as exercise. The government is calling for dramatic changes in school meals, including limiting french fries,sodium and calories and offering students more fruits and vegetables. Taking the Blame for Obesity Parents are the ones who knowingly open the door between childhood obesity and a long and healthy life. In David's Weintrub's article, "The Battle Against Fast Food Begins in the Home" blames the parents. Eating unhealthy can cause serious health problems. Parents are their children's first teachers. Showing them how to obtain a healthy lifestyle will benefit them for the future.
The policies and procedures allow the staff to raise awareness of healthy eating for children. The polices allow the staff know what foods should be given to the children and what food they would not serve out. These policies and procedures tell the staff in the kitchen what foods they should be cooking for the children and what is going to promote healthy eating for them. Children who take their own lunch and break in with them are only allowed to take in healthy foods and snacks. The children who get their food in school should be provided only with healthy foods.
All parents can now know that at least while at school, their children are consuming nutritionally-balanced meals. These guidelines will also hopefully assist in addressing the issue of obesity in children that has hit the country like an epidemic. There is a family night where the kids prepare healthy snacks for their parents. The Children’s Hunger Alliance also has many physical education programs and uses volunteers in the area to promote healthy eating and activity. The Children’s Hunger Alliance also lobbied to get healthy snacks in school vending machines and helps spread the word about the free/reduced meal programs at school. The organization works with the Ohio State Senate and Congress to implement healthy programs for Ohio
This is causing kids to throw out food, that they are not getting enough of to begin with, but because of the flavor the kids would rather not eat at all then to eat food that is very bland. We need to take action and getting better food regulations for all the children before it gets any worse. The first step would be to contacts our senator in D.C. and write to many others. Eventually the news will get back to Obama and others who will create a balanced meal for all children to

The first major aspect of this article is why it would be a wise choice to remove unhealthy drinks and snacks from school vending machines. Tom Vilsack states in school is where these children consume half of their daily calorie intake. Schools are promoting unhealthy lifestyles to our younger generation. Vilsack feels by reforming and changing the school meal menu into healthier choices that it will in fact ensure a more nutritious and healthy effect on children.
It is assumed all families understand the necessity for nutrition and healthy habits, such as exercise, especially for growing children. A struggling family that is not allowed to buy white rice, white bread, or processed and already prepared foods gives those few a new perspective and direction for what should be consumed. Children who have to eat fruits and vegetables in school lunches will have a different outlook on what exactly a snack is. First Lady Obama has made a stance on childhood obesity, health and fitness as it pertains to our growing children, who will one day be adults.
