• Poor communication after Mr. Barton discontinued the tally system. ➢ Employees felt management failed to represent their best interests. ➢ Poor communication by management. There was a lack of input requested from sales personnel. Problem Statement The problem, in this case, stemmed from declining department sales and inappropriate business practices that created unpleasant work conditions and significant reductions in employee productivity.
Perhaps they believe that the employees are contributing to the revenue losses and are stealing merchandise. These are all self destructive in nature and could impact their ability to remain in business and keep good employees. Making the decision to close two stores without adequate justification drastically reduces it footprint in the market place. It appears that either the store supervisor or manager is not engaged with the employees and consumers; do not have sufficient training on company ethics policies to enforce them; or they do not have a fully robust ethics program in place to address to ongoing issues. PART B Company Q can take some immediate steps which I believe would turn a downward trend in to positive results.
The employees may feel a certain way about the layoff of the co-workers and also it may effect how they work. Also another thing is the loss of valuable and knowledgeable employees may affect others too. The new hire people will have no one to ask if they do not understand or know how to perform a task asked of them. This can cause serious problems for productivity and for the patients at the clinic. The last disadvantage I think will be a problem to the Dodge Clinic is employees seeking employment elsewhere because they do not feel there job is secure.
Though John had sympathy for the family pressures she was facing, but her unpleasant behavior was affecting the efficiency of the entire team and the organization. On the other hand, Andy another employee with CES and a team member for the waste management committee, made it worse by creating negativity in the mind of Vincent on the very first day of his office. Vincent resigned his earlier job because of the internal politics and did not want the same issues again. Vincent tough tried in altering Gwen’s job description but knew she won’t be satisfied with that too. John’s inability to anticipate issues and take up steps to resolve the conflict arising due to the Vincent’s presence is harming the output of the organization.
The behaviours which I believe makes my supervisor incompetent are: - Providing conflicting and contradictory information and instructions - Having a lack of knowledge of areas they are responsible for supervising - Displaying no leadership ability or authority, having no respect from staff - By lying, being deceitful and taking credit for other staff members work - Blaming other staff member for their own mistakes - Failing to provide training to staff members in their roles - Refusing to accept any feedback from staff How did that person’s incompetence reflect on workplace relationships and workplace effectiveness? Why do you think that is? Be specific.
Micromanagement like this puts employees in a threatened state and unable to perform their best. Additionally, while the reward system may have appeared functional, it ultimately was very poorly designed. Employees felt incentivized to simply “impress” their superiors, which did not necessarily correlate with actual performance. Further, the assessment cloaked evaluations as a part of career development counseling, creating a conflict of interest for the auditor collecting performance information from the employees. Finally, the evaluation system failed to require managers to provide feedback to their reports, inhibiting an environment of learning or growth.
If I were a human resource manager, I would be ashamed and I would feel like I didn't do my job, and that I just ignored a safety issue that was serious. The lawsuit costed the company a lot money and I would be afraid that I would lose my job over the lawsuit. The courts verdict would affect me greatly and I would be ashamed to go back to work. Their was no explanation as to why the safety complaints were never investigated
Tuscaloosa shuffle: A-The issue is about a shipment having a die with a quality problem involved in the parts. And there is no communications between the managers and the peoples who works in the company. And the behavior of Cook it’s not good at all for his position and he doesn’t have the experience to handle with this position. Employees at Elm were expecting this problem and instead of preparing for it and trying to avoid the losses, they were just waiting till the problem happened then they going to figure it out that’s kind of lazy employees. And also the CEO of Elm he didn’t have the whole information about the problem.

In addition, Primark is an outstanding retail company, so the customers would want their staff to have good product knowledge, someone who knows the idea of what they customers like and don’t like. So therefore, it benefits the customer to trust the staff and they would have a good understanding with negotiating with the offers such as ‘sales reduction, which is quite useful in a business. It establishes a fundamental systems and processes for presenting and detecting misconduct, for investigating and disciplining, and for recovery and continuous improvement (Ferrell, Fraedrich, & Ferrell, 2011). The corporate governance did not protect the stakeholders because there was embezzlements from some employees and greed from the executive leadership. There was a lot of turnover at the executive level which made the organization weaken and may not able to carry out its mission. Not having this process in place to detect when there was some unethical acts being taking place has caused a lot of turmoil for this no-profit agency. There was not process in place to follow for recovery for when a mistake was discovered or a problem was reported.
