A very good morning to our English teacher, Puan Vasugi and my fellow friends.Today, I will talk about a very interesting topic, that is “How to be a good neighbour”. This topic is very important for all of us because our country is a multiracial country and we need to work hand in hand with our neighbour to create harmony in our country.
The most important point is all of us have to exercise good manners. Teach the children to be polite and courteous to your neighbours. Showing good manners will give others a good impression of oneself. This is vital in maintaining your relationship with your neighbours.
Next, what I would talk is about pets. Some of us love to have cats and dogsas pets. If you have pets, keep them on a leash or keep them locked so that children will not get injured, scared or mauled by them.
Well, sometimes you intend to borrow things from your neighbours. There is nothing wrong with that issue but you must make sure that you return it in the condition it was given. In addition, wherever stay, learn to be generous in sharing your gardening tools, cutleryor crokery items.
If you are having a party, please inform your neighbours that you are entertaining and there would be noise. It will be a good idea to invite your neighbours as well to the party and this act will further enhance the relationship between both of you.
Sometimes, during the school holidays, your neighbours might go for a vacation. You can help your neighbours by looking after their homes. They might sometimes ask your help to feed their pets, water the plants, or to keep an eye on their house.
Lastly, I hope the few tips I have shared with you will help you to be a good neighbour. Thank you.
