There are hundreds upon thousands of different cake flavors, types, and recipes so there is a different cake out there for everyone. Also, baking cakes can be fun for someone who loves to cook, loves to eat, loves food, or even as a way to spend time with someone and get something great out of it in the end that you can share. Another great attribute that can be applied to knowing how to bake a cake is that they are thoughtful gifts. Whether it’s your friend’s birthday, anniversary, or if it’s just a fun get together you can never go wrong by baking a cake and bringing it for everyone to enjoy. Finally, baking a cake and doing it well is a great confidence booster for anyone. Knowing that you made it on your own and know how to do it well makes you feel a sense of self fulfillment that no one can take away from you. Baking a cake is an enjoyable activity that you get something out of when all is said and done so why not do it well, following easy steps, you too can bake a cake the right way. First things first you need to gather the necessary items to bake your cake. For most cakes the ingredients you need can be found on a box of cake mix that you can buy at any super market, this is the foundation of your cake. Most cakes don’t require too many ingredients so for example the cake I’m baking requires 1 and ¼ cups of water, 1/3 of a cup of vegetable oil, and 3 eggs. Although these are the only ingredients you need you must also make sure that you have a 13” by 9” baking pan, a mixer, grease (or something to prevent the cake from sticking to the pan), oven mitts, frosting(optional) and an oven that can be heated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
