How my positive outlook benefits my community? My positive outlook benefits my community by volunteering. Volunteering has change my life overall. I have often heard people talk about the benefits of volunteering, being a way to reach out and touch the lives of others in a positive way. But I didn’t fully understand the impact of that claim until I started volunteering myself. First I volunteered at the boy & girls during the summer of 2010.The kids was so nice, sweet an innocent. In my mind I was thinking I want be doing this long because I wasn’t getting paid. But then I realize it’s not all about the money all the time. I loved that job and miss it very much .The only thing the kids needed there was love because the place was already filled with happiness. The second volunteered assignment was just for a day. I had to clean and bring food to the Ronald McDonald house. After two volunteered assignments I noticed that volunteering is important for numerous reasons that benefit both the community and the volunteer themselves. When someone donates a hand full of time the difference made is tremendous and it shapes a community for the better while the experience improves the person who donated the time. Volunteering what makes a community because it brings people together to work on a goal. Community life is improved by aiding others and lending a helping hand to get a job done more effectively. More people working equals less work for each person and less time for the project a volunteer also benefits themselves because they get to see how their contribution has made a difference. This experience contributes to personal development. Especially in areas such as self –fulfillment, self- confidence, and self-esteem which often flourish in the midst of volunteering experiences.
