Beyonce’s national anthem “Are you a Beyliever now?” On the Pop Watch’s website, this question was highlighted on the cover page. Beyliever is a combination from Beyonce and believer. Recently, Beyonce finally admitted publicly that she did, in fact, had lip-synched the national anthem at President Obama’s second inauguration. She tried to convince the public she has to do this. However, most people in U.S. didn’t seem like buying it, and began calling her cheater or liar.
She went to vote for presidential election and was arrested due to her female sex. The exigence behind Anthony’s essay was that her exercise of voting was the right thing to do. She had committed no crime to be put in jail. She said that “ I not only committed no crime, but instead simply exercised my citizen’s rights, guaranteed to me and all United States citizens by the National Constitution beyond the power of any state to deny” (Anthony 13). Anthony expresses that women’s voting was not illegal.
McClelland is well known for being a great human rights reporter, although in 2011 she was considered untrustworthy when she wrote a personal essay about countering her PTSD with rape fantasy roleplay sex, with some journalists defending it and other journalists criticizing it. When it was revealed that McClelland had written about and revealed the identity of a Haitian rape victim against that victims' wishes on multiple occasions, some who had initially praised the essay condemned her for a breach of ethics. Anthony and Erin Rodriguez are a middle class couple living in Ohio worrying about how to make ends meet, due to a newly elected republican governor Kasich. Kasich’s plan cuts funding, and the budgets of city government and services. This could possibly hinder Anthony’s job with a budget cut of 51 percent.
Richards creates a strong ethical appeal to her audience by stating her Democratic political background, views, and opinions. However, her ethical appeal is partially biased considering that she is speaking to a democratic audience, therefore she has to cater to the democratic values, which include equality and fairness. She strongly enforces her pathetic appeal by addressing the audience’s love for their families and children, hope for a better economy and future, and feelings of forgottenness by the government. Richards carefully incorporates two brief anecdotes into her speech to trigger emotional responses in her audience. In her second anecdote, Richards tells the audience that she hopes that her “nearly perfect” granddaughter Lily “…goes on to raise her kids with the promise that echoes in homes all across America: that we can do better, and that’s what this election is all about.” Richards’ strong pathetic appeal targets the audience’s hope for a better government in the future, which is why she

Lady Gaga's success was built on more than just her talents as an entertainer. Lady Gaga and management seized the power of using popular social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter to build a strong support base, fan by fan. To publicize her first single "Just Dance," Lady Gaga and team took to the social media airwaves with a handcrafted approach: she wrote (and continues to write) her own Tweets, and maintained close control over her other social media accounts. YouTube was also used as a promotional tool, management released a series of short two-minute videos on her personal channel titled “Transmission: Gaga-Vision”. Lady Gaga’s team understood that imagery was a large element of her brand and utilized the platform that YouTube offered.

A tactical decision by Senate majority leader Harry Reid to exclude a ban on assault weapons from gun-control legislation has sparked reaction among politicians and media outlets. The exclusion of the hotly debated measure could improve the likelihood of passing the gun-control package, which includes stronger background checks, harsher punishments for gun trafficking, and funding for school safety enhancements. "I think the worst of all worlds would be to bring something to the floor and it dies there," Senator Reid told reporters Tuesday. "People are deserving of votes on their issues they feel so strongly about." Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D) of California did not hide her disappointment in the decision.
