in the statement “ good health is your responsibility. Act now” we can see that good health is evident in our attitudes and individual behaviours and in the social constructs individuals live in. These attitudes and behaviours are influenced and impacted by many elements of health in different circumstances as health as a social construct varies from one community to another. Many factors combine together to affect the health of individuals and communities. Health is described as a complete state of physical, mental and social wellbeing, not merely the absence of disease or sickness, Hence why health is your responsibility.

This organization provides different types of services to all ages dealing with different health issues. The services are not just designed for one particular age group; instead they are designed specifically for each age group. I really enjoyed reading about this because many health centers are established for one particular set age group and that forces families to go elsewhere for the rest of the family based on their ages. Comtrea allows all age groups which allow a more affordable and easy way to get help with certain issues that they are facing. This organization offers a 24-hour crisis hotline, which provides reassurance that Comtrea is always there for their community no matter what time of the day it is.
Communication in Health and Social Care Communication is an essential part of daily living and good effective communication will relate how well we react with one another. It is a skill that is developed from birth and is influenced by ones family, education , society and beliefs. For the majority of people these skills develop naturally and it is relatively easy to express what we want to do or how we feel and understand how people around us respond or react to this. We can associate from an early age through communication methods both verbal and non-verbal if behaviours are acceptable or not by the reaction and manner from those around us. Taking these skills for granted we do not often reflect on how things would be if we didn’t have this

Transmission of values is a process where health and social care workers administer the different care values to ensure each client receives a high standard of care. Transmitting the ten care values is essential to care workers as they look after a range of clients, such as children, disabled and elderly people, and each client has different needs so it is important that their needs are met with the help of the care values. The values will create a setting which promotes rights and they will guide good quality care. It is the care workers duty to carry out the values at a high standard, as this will then make the client feel empowered and confident with their care provider. (Moonie, 2005, page 96).
