Gail wasn’t happy with Wes's decision to keep Frank in their basement; she understood how hard the situation with Frank was on Wes, that she decided to support him. When the four men went to her house to break Frank out she was there to stop them, even though she did not agree with keeping him in her house. The protagonist, Krebs is starting story with his typical life. After war is over, he does not want to come back to his home. When Krebs comes back, he wants to share the war experience to people in town but no one want to listen to him because the war is already end a year ago and the stories that been told by other soldiers are more exciting, more thrilling. To grab their attention, Krebs has to lie to them to make his story more interesting. His life became more complicated when he entered college and had to contend with a roommate. Now he has no privacy, so instead of trying to explain his tics to roommate, he tries to hide them. Fences in Fences August Wilson's Fences is about Troy Maxon, an aggressive family head who struggles to keep a successful relationship with his family and friends. Fences are used to either keep things and people out or in. Troy Maxon built many personal fences and committed many actions to do just that. He has spent the later part of his life trying to support his family and make sure that he fulfills his responsibility as the man of the house, a far cry from what he had in his own abusive childhood. All of the obstacles he faced in his past life severely impact the way he handles relationships and situations in the present.
