Higher education should be available to everyone The purpose of education has always been a controversial issue. There is no doubt that education is the key to ensuring a steady pace of progress in technological advances and consequently growth in the economy of a country. Nevertheless, what one has to ask is whether higher education should be open to all students, or only to good ones. High education is an indispensable part of today's life. It affects people's lives in terms of social status and personal life. When it comes to having a better social or private life, it's impossible to discriminate between human beings. No matter good or academically weak, students, or better say humans, all deserve descent lives. Although not all jobs in the society are filled by educated workers, there are times when employers seek only educated workforce for particular skills. This in turn gives way to better job opportunities, job security, and finally reduces the likelihood of being unemployed. When it's time for promotion or achieving a descent salary, once again, educated employees are in the lead. Not only that, but the ability to transfer knowledge to other co-workers provides educated workers with leadership job opportunities. The impact of higher education on one's personal life is by no means negligible. A well-rounded education elevates people's general knowledge. Having higher education gives people the chance to help others around them in all aspects of life, or at least they can help their own children with school work. Educated people have a broader understanding of art, culture and their surroundings and enjoy all what they experience better than uneducated people.
